Child Safety Standards
Vibio is an adults-only dating and friendship service. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for any child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page sets out the standards we apply to keep minors off the platform and to act on any abuse.
Adults only
- Vibio is only for people aged 18 and over. This is stated at sign-up and in our store listing.
- Every account must provide a date of birth. Accounts that do not meet the minimum age are refused, and any account later found to belong to someone under 18 is removed.
- Users can report a profile that appears to belong to a minor directly from that profile, using the "Appears to be under 18" reason.
Prohibited content and conduct
The following are strictly forbidden and result in immediate removal and a permanent ban:
- Any child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or links, references, or requests for it.
- Sexualisation of minors in text, images, usernames, or bios.
- Grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to contact, meet, or obtain images from a minor.
- Using the service while under 18, or facilitating an underage person's use of it.
How we detect and prevent abuse
- Profile photos, display names, and bios are checked automatically for disallowed content before or shortly after they go live. Content identified as disallowed is hidden and queued for human review.
- Photos sent in conversations are checked automatically when a member reports the conversation.
- Every member can block and report other members. Reports about child safety are prioritised.
- Accounts that violate these standards are removed. Depending on severity we apply a permanent ban, remove content, and revoke active sessions.
Reporting to authorities
Where we identify apparent CSAM or a credible threat to a child, we act promptly to remove the content and the account, preserve relevant records, and report to the appropriate authority, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States and the relevant national law enforcement or hotline in the user's jurisdiction. We comply with all applicable child-safety laws and cooperate with lawful requests from regional and national authorities.
How to report a concern
- In the app: open the profile or conversation, tap the report icon, and choose the relevant reason.
